Sand Art Turkey Take-and-Make Craft Kit

Sand Art Turkey Take-and-Make Craft KitSign up to receive a Take-and-Make Craft Kit to make a Sand Art Turkey craft. You've heard of a turkey sandwich, but have you ever heard of turkey sand art? This unique craft project features a mandala feather design pattern and makes a great table decoration at Thanksgiving dinner. Includes sticky board, cover sheet, googly eyes and bags of assorted color sand. Kits will be available to pick up in the curbside lobby (north end of the building) beginning Tuesday, November 5th. Any kits not picked up by Tuesday, November 12th will be offered to children on the wait list. Registration required.

- Paws for Reading (6 Events)

Paws for ReadingNew or struggling readers in grades 1-5 are invited to sign up for a 15-minute "Paws for Reading" session with one of our local certified therapy dogs. Dogs are excellent listeners and never interrupt! The goal is to provide a non-judgmental atmosphere in which kids can read without correction or interruption and learn not just to read, but to love reading as well. A handful of books will be available, but feel free to bring one from home. Each child will have one-on-one reading time.
