Mariya Fogarasi fulfilled a lifelong dream when she flew to Jordan, exploring Amman, a city latticed with Roman ruins, and then spending nights in the desert landscape where "Lawrence of Arabia", "The Martian" and “Dune” were filmed. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sleep in a Bedouin tent camp? Explore Petra, an ancient Nabatean rose-colored city carved into the side of mountains, a mystery lost to the world for several hundred years, a UNESCO World Heritage Center, and one of the world's top archeological sites. Come along to this ancient land, a country which has managed to stay stable in a historically volatile region and whose tourism revenue accounted for 14% of GDP in 2019. The talk includes a side trip to Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, and more.

Registration for this event has now closed.
